7th circuit?!


we're getting close to a finished game!

the 7th circuit is special in that it references attacks from 3BUTTERF.EXE. i had to simplify some of them to work in DOS, but here you have it.


7-1 starts with lines of bullets that are targeted at the player, which gradually start to move around. the reference attack is in this timestamp of 3BUTTERF.EXE's playthrough video.


i had difficulties getting 7-2 to work in a way that's 1) performant and 2) faithful to the original attack, but eventually i think i succeeded. the reference attack is in this timestamp.


7-3 looks scary with its impenetrable walls of bullets, but there is a way through. well, quite literally. you'll see in this timestamp.


oh, and since the last devlog i've made some adjustments to the circuit select screen. circuits now have names and checkmarks indicating whether you've completed the circuit at any speed (white checkmark) or with at least 1.00 speed (green checkmark).
