2 months of development

so it's been two months now. just today i've crossed over everything for area 2, except for the bossfight, which i'm intentionally saving for a later version. if you haven't kept up with the gradual updates, now is a perfect time to playtest the game.

version 3a marked the shift from a prototyping phase to a content creation phase. the basic systems are implemented and working correctly, so lately my work has been adding more encounters & spells & polish. it is really starting to look and feel like a game!

next up is version 3b. here are my plans for it:

✱ giant mushroom bossfight!
✱ area 3 (wizard tower)!
✱ music!
✱ saving/loading!
✱ title screen & credits!

look forward to it, and i hope you're enjoying what's already in the game!

I love the new content! I've already sunk hours into the game and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you do with this project, so I bought a copy.

Here's my latest crash report, while leaving the merchant:

[string "-- title: ROWBYROW..."]:751: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')

stack traceback:
[string "-- title: ROWBYROW...":751: in function 'reset_encounter'
[string "-- title: ROWBYROW...":3458: in function 'TIC'

big thanks for supporting the game's development! that crash is fixed now.

Since I liked the 1st version I decided to try the new release :)

I reached the second map. Then I learnt "query" and used it to ask several things (to that same encounter and also the shy fairy, who taught me "flee"). Then I encountered a small mushroom, and asked them about "you", and after saying their name and that they wouldn't lose to me, the game crashed :(

I tried typing 'resume' in the console, but I was not able to to continue.

Also, I saw there is a new option "Load Game", but how can I save a game?

P.S: I didn't hear the music. Is the .exe an older version?

the crash is fixed now. (i forgot to add a line of code to end the dialogue.)

>Also, I saw there is a new option "Load Game", but how can I save a game?

it's merely a placeholder, saving/loading will be implemented soon.

>P.S: I didn't hear the music. Is the .exe an older version?

??? there's no music yet

Thanks a lot! ^^

About the music, I didn't read correctly the changelog and I thought the music was for the current build XD

Looking forward for the next updates! :D

now you can save your game by pressing Ctrl+S in the overworld :))) the 'Load game' option will then be available
